OUTTA THIS WORLD
In Saturn there is no water at all. The people that visit Saturn will not survive. So It wouldn’t be a good Idea to go there.
Solution 1- A truck would come to Saturn every day. It would come with a big machine of water.
Solution 2- There would be a pipe that is connected to Earth. Then the water would come from a tunnel and it would come to Saturn.
Solution 3 - There would be someone that would come with 1000 bottles of water every day. Then they would give bottles to people that visit Saturn.
The Bottles cost 50 cents for one. So I will order ONE THOUSAND bottles and then I will deliver it to all the people that visit Saturn. The bottles are three liters so it’s quite big.
The Best Solution would the third one. There would be someone that would come with 1000 bottles of water every week . Then they would give bottles to people that visit here. The Bottles are quite big so it would last for a week.
Every week people from p\ack’n save would come to Saturn and give the bottles. They would fly in a rocket every week and give us 1000 bottles.
Maybe in the future people might live there.
Netbook Reflection
My Netbook has been great to work on. It is much more easier to type than write on a piece of paper. I have learnt heaps of things on my Netbook this year. One of my favorite things to do is to play games but when it comes to work I have to try and focuses.
The most annoying thing that I hate about my Netbook is when the Internet doesn't work. The The most annoying thing that I hate about my Netbook is when the Internet doesn't work. The other thing that I don’t like about my Netbook is when the Internet tries to reach google, it is very frustrating. When the Internet doesn't work, I just want to through my Netbook across the classroom.
The biggest differences in my learning is that my Netbook is very interesting than paper and pen.
The biggest challenge for me in my learning using a Netbook is focusing on my work. But most of the time I have been doing the right thing. So I thing that I have been Cyber Smart.
If the Netbook scheme failed and we had to go back to pen and paper. I would be very mad and very angry.

Acrostic poem
Athletics was very fun.
The sun was so hot it made my face red.
High jump was very high I couldn’t jump over it.
Lining up to go to the next activity I went for a drink.
Eating my lunch the bell went for us to go.
Triple jump was very hard.
In the line I was very tired.
Collecting my hat I went for a play.
Sprinting to the other side I got tired.

Saturn
Saturn has a huge storm currently happening. So it would be a bad idea to go there. Storms in Saturn a very bad, it’s so bad scientists can see the storm with their telescopes.
In Saturn there is no water at all. Humans need water to survive.

Rocket launch
Preparing to launch, sparks flew from the engines ready for lift off. Holding on tight to my seat belt, sweat dripped from my fore head. Cutting through the sky a powerful fire bursted out of the rocket boosters. Shaking and shuddering while ears shattering. I knew this space adventure would be a bad idea. While sitting on my seat there was a big boom. I could feel butterflies flying around in my tummy. It was count down time 3,2,1 blast off. It was a scary adventure but I still had fun. I’m looking forward to our next space mission. Preparing to launch, sparks flew from the engines ready for lift off. Holding on tight to my seat belt, sweat dripped from my fore head. Ice cream comet
Yum! I said to myself. Room 13 made ice cream comets.
Filled with wild excitement, I waited patiently in the line. First Lesilei poured sprinkles with crushed biscuits in to my hands. Then as Miss King scooped the ice cream into my hands it dripped through my fingers. “ Hurry up Whaea Janeille” I said to myself, as I was waiting for my cone.
So I grabbed a tissue and wiped my hands, and I started to eat my ice cream comet. As I was eating my ice cream comet it tasted sweet and Delicious. Holding my ice cream comet, it felt soft and cold.
Ice cream comets were the best. I hope I can make them at home one day.

Alien snot
yuck! The gooey snot came between my hands. Room 13 made slimy alien snot.
If you want to make alien snot it’s so easy to make here are the instructions. Get a bowl and a spoon pour in 1 cup of corn flour. A little bit of water then mix it. Then add in green colouring and give it good mix, and that’s how you make alien snot.
Whaea Janeillie poured corn flour in our bowl, then Miss King poured in water . So we gave it a quick mix and noticed it harden quickly. We decided to put our hands into the mixture and it felt really weird.
Our group thought it was smooth and squishy. The slimy snot felt like jelly running down my hand. It so looked like green paint, yuck Alien snot I said.
I liked this activity and making this strange and messy substance.

Immersion Assembly
When I arrived at school all the teachers were wearing crazy costumes and masks. Then I remembered we were going to have an Immersion Assembly.
When we got to the hall Mr Burt told us a story. It was about the Maui fishing up New Zealand from the sea. There was a diffrent version, about the stars in the sky called Maniakalani. It was about Maui and his hook, he used the constelation to gaurd them from hawahi to New Zealand.
First up was team one, they had made a movie about the sun. They made there own really cool suns. I enjoyed Team 1’s item.
Team 2 was introduced and they walked onto the stage wearing black costumes and space helmets. They were dancing,it was really funny. What a cool item!
Next up was Team 3, they had also made a movie. It was about gravity. It showed that in space you floated and on earth you didn’t.
Team 4 teachers came up on the stage and danced like ballerinas to twinkle twinkle star. The song was sung by the wiggles. I though it was funny.
Team 5 was funny too, it was also a movie but it was about Starwars. Except the teachers were the characters!
That was my favourite item.
I really enjoyed the Immersion Assembly. I can’t wait to learn more about this topic!

My Thinking reflection
I enjoyed maths, because we learn different strategies.
I don’t like Aussie Rules because it’s boring and when I pass the ball it goes out of control.
What I learnt this term is making sure that my writing makes sense.
This term is awesome because it’s nice finishing with a production.
I found the Internet interesting because when I go on the Internet it sometimes works and it sometimes doesn't work.
I could do my reading a little bit better so I can understand a bit more what the word that I don’t no means.
Warriors
Tackling and defending the warriors as they prepare to battle. The crowed went wild.
This game was held in Australia, Sydney. Running through the tackles the warriors droped kicked and got a goal. The crowed were cheering for the warriors.
At half time the warriors had heaps of pressure on their minds. Sprinting through the field the warriors got tackled and their scores were not that far behind Manly and the game was almost over. The Warriors finished the game with a drop kick.
I thought that the game was really good. I was proud of the warriors.

Alfajorcitos
Que Rico Que son Los Alfajorcitos tan riquisimo. Room 13 made alfajorcitos, they are really easy to make, and very Delicious.
All you do is get the jar with ducle de leche then get the knife and get a biscuits and spread the ducle de leche on the biscuit, squish them together and roll them into the coconut. Now you are ready to eat them. This treat comes from Argentina. Alfajorcitos is a treat that kids in Argentina love, almost every food they eat they put ducle De leche on it.
When I was eating the alfajorcitos I tasted a bit of caramel, that made it really sweet. The sweet Dulce de leche oozed out on the sides and it was enjoyable.
I hope I can make these some day at home.

Aussie rules.
On a blustery afternoon we went down the bottom field to play Aussie rules.
Walking down to the muddy field we met two girls called Megan and Alysa, they showed us a warm up called the jumper bumper. First of all you find a partner then you hop on one leg and try to bump them over and if you put your leg down then you will be out.
While we were warming up Megan blew her whistle and we moved on to the next skill. The next skill was really hard to do it was bouncing the ball 10 times without dropping it. It was really frustrating to bounce the ball because if you bounce it then it will go flying in the air out of control.
Later we played a game like baseball but instead of hitting the ball you kick it and if you catch the ball on a full then the player is out. So we got ready to play the game. When it was my turn I got about two scores for our team but after my turn the other person got out and so the other team got another point. While we were waiting in the line we were practising bouncing the ball with Mr Harise.
After the game they told us how to do a kick called the drop punt. So then we tried to do it but it was really hard to kick it straight to your partner.
Then we went back to class and had a wonderful afternoon. I’m looking forward to next Thursday.

Black out Day.
Filled with huge excitement I got dressed for school. Today at school we are celebrating the All blacks for their very first game for the rugby world cup.To support out country we wore All black clothes.
Running down the footpath I saw my friend walking down the breeze. Coins jingled in my pocket as I bounced up and down exctedly - I was going to buy a sausage for my lunch.
Arriving at school, I noticed that the teachers were wearing all black. Miss Tito and Miss Va’afusuaga even had a silver fern painted on their face.
At assembly Mr Burt kept telling stories about the times when he was at the rugby games.I love the way how he tells stories.
In our classroom we painted some All Black players. We traced around a small person and then we decorated it with different colours. It was a lovely morning.
After morning tea we all meat up at the courts to play some rugby games. The sun was shining above us and the sevens boys had set up some fun looking games.
I was in team Russia and we played some games that Involved kicking, tackling and taging. Then the bell rang and it was time for lunch time.
At lunch time I ate my sausage under the shade of some trees - it felt like summertime.
I had such a great black out day and I really hope that the All Blacks can win tonight. My brother is supporting Tonga, but I don’t know if they can win.

CROSS COUNTRY.
Finally the day had come for us to do cross country at Pt England.I thought the race would never end. When we were going to start I started to get thirsty, that made me even more nervous.
Standing on the start line my heart was pounding really fast, I was nervous. When Mr Burt said On your marks get set GO I raced off. When we ran I bumped into ANA, that made me slow down, I nearly slipped over her but lucky I was still running. After a while me and my friend ANA slowed down and started to jog, we were quiet slow and sweaty and we just started.
As we were running my feet started to hurt and my lungs were burning. When we passed the bridge I started to walk to catch my breath. While we were walking through the bush I smelled this funny smell it smelt like stinky socks, I felt like spieling up.
When we got near the finish line I just started to walk, I was exhausted. After that I ran to the finish line and I thought to myself “thank goodness it’s finish”. I was really proud of my self

Kiwiana
Buzzy Bee is the most famous toy in New Zealand many Buzzy Bees have been sold in many country’s in New Zealand. Nearly every child has a Buzzy Bee to play with in New Zealand.
Jandales are a type of shoes you can wear at the beach when it’s hot. They are made from rubber and on top it has very cool pictures. In some countries they are called slippers and in Australia they call them flappers.
I hope your going to have a good time at the rugby world cup.
A healthy diet!!!!
Children should eat healthy food to keep their body going. We have to keep healthy so we can grow.Children should eat a variety of different foods to stay healthy.
These are the meals we should eat everyday. Bread and cereal, fruit and vegetable, milk and dairy and meat and fish. We need fats and sugar everyday but only in limited amounts. Milk and water are the best drinks for kids, fizz and juice should be left for treats.
If you eat right then you live right!

Badminton
Last week on Thursday room 13 went to the hall to play Badminton. We go to the hall every Thursday’s to play badminton.Donna is our teacher she teacher’s us trick’s, back and forth hand and even more.
This week Donna t us how to serve, First of all you will hold the racket upside down, in front of you. Secondly you flick your wrist and hit the shuttle over the net. That’s how you serve. After she had told us how to serve then she moved on to the back and forth hand that was really hard to do, when I tried my highest score was six, I thought I could do better than that but I couldn't’t. Then she told us how to play badminton soccer, you have to get a partner for this game, first of all you get four shuttles two for your partner and two for you.
Then you get one more shuttle and use it to play with. Me and my partner were not very good at it but I still won. After that we played a game, it’s like tennis you have to hit the shuttle over the net but if you don’t hit and don’t get it over the net then you will be out and you will have to go at the back of the line and it will be the next person’s turn.
When it was my turn I got out easily because I hit the shuttle our by accident. After that Donna blowed her whistle and told us to come and sit down. It was time to go, it was nearly home time, and we said to Donna Thank you.

Then we went to the other new ride called the power surch it was really scary it made me want to spue up,when you go up it looks like your going to fall down. After that we went on the Log which is kind of like boat but it goes really slow, there can only be about two people in the front and one at the back I went with my cousin Jeryco and my other cousin Cordan. When we went I was waiting until it goes fast but it didn't so we started to rock the log but then we went past a sign and it said PLEASE DO NOT ROCK THE LOG so we stopped. Then we went In a dark place, it was really freaky it was so scared the I was holding on to my cousin and closed my eyes.At the end of the ride we went on the rollacoster, it was short but I still liked it. After that we went on the dragan, it was slow too but at the end it went fast. Then me and my cousin Jeryco went on the Fear Fall, we went slow going up but when we went down it went really fast and that made me have heaps of butterflies. Then we had our lunch brake and we had chiken lunchen sandwhichies and hot dogs with drinks. Then we went on the other ride called the Gold rush it was like the Log but Gold rush was faster and better. After that we went on the Mostion Mater it's really cool when you go in you watch a small movie and then you go and sit on a chair and the lights go off and you will get a 3D glasses and a movie will play and the chair moves and it looks like your riding it. After the Mostion Master we went on the pirate ship it was like a swing. Then we went in the line to go on bumbby boats but is was closed so we went on the chair to wait for my cousins to come. Then we saw John Cambell. While we were waiting we took some photos and then they came and we went in the car and went home. I was really tired but I had a fun day.

How the rugby started?
The game football was played in rugby school.Holding the ball was permitted but your not aloud to run with it.The number of players on the Field could be hundreds or more. This caused major injuries. In 1823 William Web Ellis ran with the ball, he broke the rules. Then a couple of years later they wrote the first rules of the new sport called rugby.

Uniform
The problem was that in winter it was very cold so we decided to fix it by making a winter uniform. One of our designs are a shirt with Velcro in it. It comes with selves and that also has Velcro inside it too. So it can be stuck together when you’re too cold. But if you’re too hot you are able to pull the sleeves off.
We are planning to use cotton for this design. Because the soft, fluffy staple fibre is very warm so our winter clothing is going to be made out of it.
We’ve also decided to make a rain coat for rainy days but they are only for seniors. Same for the first design. The rain coat is going to be made from water proof Nylon has to be treated with a waterproofing agent, then it won't let water in through the fabric.
Why did you choose the design that you did?
We chose this design because it would be helpful with its warmness and the Nylon will help with its waterproof powers.
What makes your new design better than before?
Our school has track pants but we decided to make it better by having zips so when it is a hot day and you are wearing track pants you can unzip it and we can put the in our bag or desk.

MOTAT Trip
On a windy and cold day room 13 and room 14 went on trip to MOTAT.Filled with excitement we went on the bus. When we got there a lady called Stacey came, she was our teacher for the day. Then we came to a warm class room where we eat our lunch, then Stacey told us what we are going to do. So then we followed Stacey to this place that had stuff that people invented, it was so cool. After that we went in our groups and looked around. While waiting for Miss King my group and I went in a big black old train it was really old. When Miss King came we went to the whisper dishes it was fun cause there's two bid whisper dishes and you whisper to the other person on the other side. Then we went to this place where there was cool stuff and then we went to look at the house's that people used to live in, it was freaky. After that we went to the olden day school when we went in, it looked really small that's what I thought. Then we went and looked at the other house's as we were walking we saw a man in the toilet reading some sort of book, I know it sound's crazy but it's true.As we walked it started to rain so we went under shelter and waited until the rain stopped. So we waited and waited but we couldn't stay longer so we went and looked at the other house's and and it was really freaky. Then we went to the Mirror Maze I was dieing to go there it's so cool. When we went I all ready knew the way but when I went again I forgot the way and I got stuck. After that we went and looked at the olden day car's I saw a really cool car and I wanted it to be my car. Then we went to the olden day cinemas it was small. After that we went to the last tram, when we went inside we thought it was cool, we saw lot's of people that died and we even of people that made the Harbor bridge. Then Miss King saw a photo of a play ground and she said that when she was little she that was her favorite play ground and her mum used to take her there. After that we went to get all the groups together and eat our lunch, then we got together and ate our lunch and then we got ready to go in the Tactile Dome. So we walked together to the Dome and a man came and told us instructions and group by group went inside. I was waiting for my turn finally it came so I went inside with Kashya and chyna it was really dark I was scared. When I heard Thea I screamed "Thea Where are you" Then Thea said " bye'' and that made me more scared.Kashya and Chyna Followed me and I said were nearly there but we came back from the start. So we went back inside and we thought we were stuck because there was a net and we we just waiting. The wheels screeched as the Delorean came out of the drive way. Crammed in the front was Jennifer, Marty and the mad scientist - Doc. “ Hey Doc, we better back up we don’t have enough road to get to 88” said Marty worryingly. “Roads” said doc , “Where we’re going we don’t need roads. cameras
In 1826 A man in France took the very first photograph, he used a metal plate covered with bitumen. 12 years later a man called Jacques Daguerre, he made a camera and it used a copper plate, coated with silver. In 1888 an American man called George Eastman, made a small handheld camera. His photos came from Celluloid film. In 1900, a box camera called the Brownie Kodak company. From 1920 to 1940 better cameras with expensive lenses were made in Germany. Most cameras are now made in Japan.
