Alfajorcitos

Que Rico Que son Los Alfajorcitos tan riquisimo. Room 13 made alfajorcitos, they are really easy to make, and very Delicious.

All you do is get the jar with ducle de leche then get the knife and get a biscuits and spread the ducle de leche on the biscuit, squish them together and roll them into the coconut. Now you are ready to eat them. This treat comes from Argentina. Alfajorcitos is a treat that kids in Argentina love, almost every food they eat they put ducle De leche on it.

When I was eating the alfajorcitos I tasted a bit of caramel, that made it really sweet. The sweet Dulce de leche oozed out on the sides and it was enjoyable.

I hope I can make these some day at home.

Aussie rules.

On a blustery afternoon we went down the bottom field to play Aussie rules.

Walking down to the muddy field we met two girls called Megan and Alysa, they showed us a warm up called the jumper bumper. First of all you find a partner then you hop on one leg and try to bump them over and if you put your leg down then you will be out.

While we were warming up Megan blew her whistle and we moved on to the next skill. The next skill was really hard to do it was bouncing the ball 10 times without dropping it. It was really frustrating to bounce the ball because if you bounce it then it will go flying in the air out of control.

Later we played a game like baseball but instead of hitting the ball you kick it and if you catch the ball on a full then the player is out. So we got ready to play the game. When it was my turn I got about two scores for our team but after my turn the other person got out and so the other team got another point. While we were waiting in the line we were practising bouncing the ball with Mr Harise.

After the game they told us how to do a kick called the drop punt. So then we tried to do it but it was really hard to kick it straight to your partner.

Then we went back to class and had a wonderful afternoon. I’m looking forward to next Thursday.

Black out Day.

Filled with huge excitement I got dressed for school. Today at school we are celebrating the All blacks for their very first game for the rugby world cup.To support out country we wore All black clothes.

Running down the footpath I saw my friend walking down the breeze. Coins jingled in my pocket as I bounced up and down exctedly - I was going to buy a sausage for my lunch.

Arriving at school, I noticed that the teachers were wearing all black. Miss Tito and Miss Va’afusuaga even had a silver fern painted on their face.
At assembly Mr Burt kept telling stories about the times when he was at the rugby games.I love the way how he tells stories.

In our classroom we painted some All Black players. We traced around a small person and then we decorated it with different colours. It was a lovely morning.

After morning tea we all meat up at the courts to play some rugby games. The sun was shining above us and the sevens boys had set up some fun looking games.
I was in team Russia and we played some games that Involved kicking, tackling and taging. Then the bell rang and it was time for lunch time.

At lunch time I ate my sausage under the shade of some trees - it felt like summertime.

I had such a great black out day and I really hope that the All Blacks can win tonight. My brother is supporting Tonga, but I don’t know if they can win.

CROSS COUNTRY.

Finally the day had come for us to do cross country at Pt England.I thought the race would never end. When we were going to start I started to get thirsty, that made me even more nervous.

Standing on the start line my heart was pounding really fast, I was nervous. When Mr Burt said On your marks get set GO I raced off. When we ran I bumped into ANA, that made me slow down, I nearly slipped over her but lucky I was still running. After a while me and my friend ANA slowed down and started to jog, we were quiet slow and sweaty and we just started.

As we were running my feet started to hurt and my lungs were burning. When we passed the bridge I started to walk to catch my breath. While we were walking through the bush I smelled this funny smell it smelt like stinky socks, I felt like spieling up.

When we got near the finish line I just started to walk, I was exhausted. After that I ran to the finish line and I thought to myself “thank goodness it’s finish”. I was really proud of my self
